26 years ago, we met on a walk through our new neighborhood — two moms with newborns in tow. As we chatted, we discovered our babies were born on the exact same day. A year later, we learned we were both preschool teachers and both of our husbands — yes, both — were named Mike and also shared a birthday. That unexpected meeting grew into a shared dream: to create a place where children could learn, grow, and thrive.
Tassajara Learning Center officially opened its doors in 2007, the result of the vision that began years earlier. Together with our husbands, we designed a space that reflects everything we know and love about early childhood education.
Today, we’re proud to serve over 150 families, doing what we love, side by side! And it all started with a walk.
